Tron Deadly Discs for the Intellevision is the game that most impressed me when I was a kid and stayed pretty firmly in my heart over the years.
During my research years at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, I tried to develop a version of this game that could learn to play and get better by itself, with Flash.
The images represent a version I made when I started working with GameMaker.
The relevant aspect about the development of this game was that I learned to manage the spawining and behavior multiple instances of game objects (the enemies entering the arena).
I also learned how to control dynamic trajectories of game objects, specifically the discs thrown by the game characters.
And, by the way, if you didn’t ever try the original Tron Deadly Discs, I strongly recommend you to do it!
